At the request of the Princess Wilhelmina Fund Curaçao, Annemieke is illustrating a schoolbook with interactive lessons to teach children love and respect for dogs. This is the continuation of a project by documentary maker Rene Gielen. Ms. Gielen takes trained dogs from the animal shelter to visit the elderly, children who themselves are sick or have sick parents and troubled youths. This is based on the view that contact with dogs can have a healing effect.
